Lucky day!

Today I had the chance to meet a Nihon kamoshika (ニホンカモシカ) or, a Japanese Serow.
The nice bus driver from Nagaden Shiga Kogen Shuttle Bus saw this beautiful animal in the middle of the trees and stopped the bus for a while to let everybody enjoy this nice Shiga Kogen inhabitant. He was walking at Kasadake neighbourhood.

We appreciate that!

Saturday at Ichinose

Few hours latter, at Ichinose, we found a beautiful sky to enjoy the whole day on the snow.

In these pictures, you can see Ichinose Diamond, Ichinose Family and Tanne no Mori Okojo Ski area.

Saturday started very cloudy at Mt. Yokote... These trees are between the Yokoteyama Sky Lift 2 and Yokoteyama Sky Lift 3.

Rainy Friday

Unfortunately, we had a rainy Friday at Shiga Kogen...
But it can be a perfect day to go out and visit the snow monkeys.

This couple, Diana and Giovanni, are Brazilian living in Australia and decided to spend some days in Japan.

They enjoyed a beautiful Thursday on the snow and decided to visit the Monkey Park on Friday. It seems that they enjoyed a lot!

Jigokudani Yaen Koen also known as Snow Monkey Park.

It's about 30 min by bus from Shiga Kogen.

There's a guy who lives near the park and writes in a personal blog with lots of interesting information about the park and the region. His name is Zeno and his blog is very helpful!

Icing Sugar

The snow was icing-sugar looking yesterday, at the end of the day :)

at Hasuike Ropeway station.

Today started with an amazing blue sky and seems to be like this during the whole day.

Perfect day to snowboard, ski, hike, take some pictures... enjoy the snow!
